Promoting a website is not an easy task. But it is not mission impossible. If you know the secrets, nothing about building a website is difficult. Strategic link building will bring in more visitors to your website or blog.

The following is a big list of over 100 link building strategies. Some of them are good, some of them are bad, and the rest may be ugly. You really don’t know what will work for you until you test them and find out by yourself. A particular link building strategy may work for other people, but it may not work for you. A link building strategy may have worked in the past, but it may not work now or in the future. A link building strategy may look good on paper, but may be terrible in practice. In order to find the best link building strategy to fit your needs, you have to consider your own situation first. Over all you are the implementer of the strategy.

Honestly, I have not used most of these strategies, so I don’t guarantee that they will work for you. All the information provided is just for informational purposes only. As I mentioned earlier, not all of these strategies are good. Some of them may sound good, but not work in real world. You understand that you try these strategies at your own risk. Some of these may be even harmful for your website’s performance. So you have to do a thorough research on the strategies you choose, before implementing them.

Obviously the list above is not complete, although 100 link building strategies have been listed in it. And it doesn’t provide detailed guides for your link building campaign either, because that is not my intention. Instead, what I put here is just to inspire you to generate your own ideas and link building or website promotion plans. After all, you know what you want, what you can do, what you can afford and what is best for your interest in the short term and in the long term. So the strategy or idea doesn’t matter, but you matter. You should always keep an open mind and be creative.

If you are new to link building, search engine optimization (SEO), web promotion and internet marketing, it doesn’t matter because you can always learn the required knowledge and techniques. In general, there are two ways to acquire information: learn from other people, and learn by yourself. To learn from other people’s experience, you can read books, read articles online, watch video tutorials, listen to podcasts, discuss with other people on the forum, chat with people online, on the phone and face to face, and so on. For instance, you may have learned several SEO link building tips online. To learn by yourself, you have to make your own observations and do your own experiments. There is always some information that people don’t want to share with you. That is why we call them secrets. And there is always some information that nobody knows yet.
